Dear Donor,
The KIWL Imperial Palace Walk held on March 27–28, 2026, was an outstanding success that brought together our community in support of children in care across Japan. We are immensely grateful to the over 100 walkers who participated in this meaningful event, generously sponsored by Robert Half and Protiviti.
The timing could not have been more perfect, as participants enjoyed two beautiful days walking under the stunning sakura blossoms surrounding the Imperial Palace. The cherry blossom season provided a breathtaking backdrop that enhanced the experience for all involved, creating memorable moments for friends and families who came together for this important cause.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of the event was the diverse participation across age groups. We were delighted to welcome students from St. Francis alongside toddlers from Tokyo Katei Gakko, demonstrating the broad community support for our mission. This multi-generational involvement highlighted the universal appeal of supporting vulnerable children and showcased how our cause resonates with people of all ages.
The success of this fundraising walk reflects the strong commitment of our community to improving the lives of children in care throughout Japan. The combination of beautiful weather, an iconic location, enthusiastic participation, and generous corporate sponsorship created an event that not only raised vital funds but also strengthened the bonds within our supporter network.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every participant, our sponsors Robert Half and Protiviti, the educational institutions that joined us, and all the volunteers who helped make this event a remarkable success in advancing KIWL's mission.
We’re also deeply grateful to everyone who came out for the KIWL Pub Quiz and helped raise ¥304,000 for YouMeWe.
It was a night full of generosity, laughter, and people showing up for young people who need steady support as they prepare for adult life. Thank you to Pub Quiz Master Jonathan Perry, Hobgoblin, and all of the raffle prize donors for making the evening so special.
Every ticket, donation, and raffle entry will help us keep showing up for the children and youth we support. Thank you for standing with us.
