Putting in place training infrastructure, an important asset for sustainable development, but what is the situation at UYSTO? Our colleagues, partner organizations and our wonderful donors and the donation facilitator, global giving, you have been seeing our fundraising drive on global giving, with the objective of buying land putting up training infrastructure, thanks one who donated to us,50$ on the same.
This looks a huge project, yes and indeed it’s a huge one, but always one by one makes a bundle. In January, we started our enrollment of 2017 -2018, among the parents who approached us for a vacancy for his relative, one of them, through his son's story after his one week at the training center, he was able to give us small land 20 feet x 10 feet to construct on a small carpentry workshop. This was like a dream to all the staff and Bernard’s friends at UYSTO, Bernard’s uncle helped us with his small place for a period of 2years as we are fundraising for buying our land.
The challenge is still ahead of us, without enough infrastructure, we shall be challenged all the time and the number of young-youth without hands on skills for self -reliance in each and every day increasing, and this affects the production chains and widens levels of poverty and vulnerability. The space given to us is very small to accommodate our courses and yet each and every time we receive new entrants. Community changers everywhere ,we yearn for you are support.
