Campaign Initiation

On October 21, 2024, we launched a Christmas Drive Campaign aimed at supporting local orphans in our community. The campaign's main objectives were to gather donations from the public and encourage community participation in a visit to the orphanage during the holiday season.

Community Engagement

The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. We successfully engaged local residents and organizations, inspiring them to contribute generously. This engagement was crucial in fostering a sense of community spirit and support for the children in the orphanage.

Donations Received

Thanks to the efforts of our supporters, we collected a variety of essential items, which included:

  • 40 packs of reusable pads – promoting hygiene and health for young girls
  • 100 kgs of maize meal – providing a staple food item for the orphanage
  • 10 kgs of butternuts – adding nutritional value to the meals
  • A significant amount of school stationery – ensuring that children have the necessary tools for their education
  • Toys – to bring joy and comfort to the children
  • An assortment of clothes – providing warmth and protection
  • Various other food items – to support the daily dietary needs of the children
  • A cash donation of USD $50 – to assist with any immediate needs at the orphanage

Orphanage Visited

We had the privilege of visiting the Wings of Grace Orphanage in Mufakose, Harare, Zimbabwe, on December 21, 2024, where we distributed the collected items and spent quality time with the children.

Conclusion

The Christmas Drive Campaign successfully highlighted the compassion and generosity of our community. The collected donations will significantly impact the lives of the children at the orphanage, ensuring they receive necessary supplies and experience the joy of the holiday season.

Acknowledgments

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all individuals and organizations who participated in this campaign. Your kindness and support have made a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.
