Our Kids For Trees project has made wonderful progress over the last three months, turning local schools into centers for environmental action. We have successfully sensitized school children on planting native trees across two school campuses in theBamenda highlands with the onset of intense rains. These trees will not just placed in the ground; they will be actively cared for by the children through our "one child one-tree" program, which will teach them responsibility and biology. We also plan to establish three school nurseries where 200 students will learn how to pot seedlings and create organic compost from food scraps. The impact of your support goes beyond just planting. We are seeing a real change in how the community views nature. Children are taking their new knowledge home, teaching their parents about the dangers of forest fires and the benefits of protecting biodiversity. Thank you for helping us sow the seeds of a greener, more sustainable world. One standout success story is 10-year-old Nyuyki, a pupil at one of our local primary schools. Before joining Kids For Trees, Nyuyki’s family relied on cutting down trees for fuel wood. After attending our sessions, Nyuyki convinced his father to start a small nursery at home using the skills he learned.
