Amigos de los Parques is convinced that protecting national parks is a guarantee of life for the planet. National parks seek the preservation of natural environments but they are also places that stimulate an understanding of life and history in a broad context, not only of human beings, but of all the interconnection of living beings in the planet. Because our life depends on water and clean air, we are taking our first steps to reconnect new generations with nature, so that they become guardians of the parks, guardians of the future.
At the end of April, as part of the launch of Colorearte, a project that stimulates the critical vision of the relationship between human beings and nature in almost 17,000 children throughout Chile, we took 90 children from public schools of Puerto Varas to visit Alerce Andino National Park. A first step in this project that counted with your contribution.

Desde Amigos de los Parques estamos convencidos que proteger las áreas silvestres es garantía de vida para el planeta. Los parques nacionales buscan la preservación de grandes extensiones ecosistémicas de ambientes naturales pero también son lugares que estimulan una comprensión de la vida y de la historia en un contexto amplio, no sólo de los seres humanos, sino de toda la interconexión de los seres vivos en el planeta. Porque nuestra vida depende del agua y aire limpio, estamos dando nuestros primeros pasos para volver a conectar a nuevas generaciones con la naturaleza, para que ellos se transformen en guardianes de los parques, guardianes del futuro.
A fines de abril, en el marco del lanzamiento de Colorearte, proyecto que estimula la visión crítica de la relación del ser humano con la naturaleza en casi 17 mil niños de todo el país, llevamos a 90 niños y niñas de colegios públicos de Puerto varas a visitar el parque nacional Alerce Andino. Un primer paso en este proyecto que contó con tu aporte. ¡Muchas gracias!
