By Nguyen Xuan Tam | Project Leader
Dear GlobalGiving Friends,
We are excited to inform you that construction of the Khe Sanh Library is now at the halfway point. A crew of five builders has been working on the library, and the walls have been erected. The floor, roof, doors, windows and painting will soon follow. The contractor, Mr. Dai, projects the building will be complete in another two weeks. Fortunately, the weather has been cooperative with most days being predominantly sunny with a short shower in the afternoon.
GCSF will be purchasing the interior furnishings and computers during the next few weeks. “I’m happy to see the construction going well and the children are eager to see their first library”, said Mrs. Marcia Selva, GCSF President, during her visit to the Khe Sanh Primary School in early September 2013. The library is anticipated to be complete by the end of September 2013 provided the favorable weather continues.
Again, we are grateful for your generosity and look forward to sharing photos of the completed construction soon.
Sincerely,
Nguyen Xuan Tam and the GCSF team in Vietnam
