We are very much thankful and grateful for your wonderful timely support for the Kerala Flood victims through our esteemed 501c3 Tax deductible GlobalGiving Foundation.
SERUDS Charity provided the flood relief food groceries material to the flood victims of recent floods in Kerala 2018 in Kuttanad area. This location is very devasted and many of the victims suffered a lot and thousands of people are homeless and gone to the safe places. They lost everything during floods. The necessities identified with the consultation of villagers and provided Food Groceries Rice, Dhal, Hair Oil, Cooking Oil, Detergent soaps, bathing soaps, lentils, species, Dhoti, Sarees, Blankets, Towels, etc. We have provided food groceries and other necessities kit to each and provided to the fifty persons.
Recent Kerala massive floods in the month of August 2018 triggered landslides and torrents swept through out thousands of villages. Severe floods affected the south Indian state of Kerala, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century. Over 483 people died during the floods and effected mainly Chengannur, Pandanad, Edanad, Aranmula, Kozhencherry, Ayiroor, Ranni, Pandalam, Kuttanad, Malappuram, Aluva, and Chalakudy, N.Paravur, Chendamangalam, Eloor and in few places of Palakkad. All 14 districts of the state were placed on red alert. It is the worst flood in Kerala after the great flood of 99 that took place in 1924.
