By Evans with Pamela Collett | Trainee, Hot Sun Foundation Advanced Film Project
Evans shares his thoughts:
The works that Hot Sun Foundation does in the community are really great. When filming was introduced, I really loved the ideas - to me it was like a dream come true . I never knew that I would ever work with a camera .
I was the assistant in art and props for the Hot Sun Foundation Advanced Film Training Project New Eden
. I did all the weapons for the warriors and gangs, all the ornaments and set designing. Working on New Eden was all about teamwork and spirit. According to me the whole project was a success, despite the challenges that I went through.

Hot Sun Foundation started eight years ago with the clear vision that there was plenty of talent in the East African urban slums, but a total lack of opportunities to get the training to develop that talent to become filmmakers.
Hot Sun Foundation has trained 78 youth as filmmakers, 60% of them currently working in the Kenya TV and film industry.
New Eden, our advanced film training project is currently in post production. We need your support to finish and distribute New Eden to provide training and recognition for young filmmakers in East Africa.
