When did you first think of becoming a filmmaker?
A production crew come to my village to shoot some TV commercials. I liked the way they did their work. I started watching films and I love story telling.
How has your life changed since your training at Hot Sun Foundation?
It has made me change my way of life. I have a job and I am supporting myself. I have had the opportunity to travel to different places. I enjoy my work.
What are your plans for the future?
I would like to advance my editing skills and become the best in my field of work.
What training have you had with Hot Sun Foundation?
I have had all hands-on training from script writing, camera and editing. Basically the training covered all aspects of filmmaking.
Why is Hot Sun Foundation important for upcoming filmmakers?
It is important because it helps the youth to sharpen their skills in filmmaking and provides affordable training.
What has Hot Sun Foundation contributed to the development of young filmmakers?
Hands-on training has helped a lot of young people to develop filmmaking skills faster.
What is the biggest challenge that young filmmakers face in Kenya?
Lack of money and support from the government is the biggest challenge we have.
What can filmmakers themselves do about the challenges they face?
Work hard and trust each other in the industry.
Why should people support Hot Sun Foundation?
Because Hot Sun Foundation is the home of filmmaking in Kenya. It supports young filmmakers in sharpening their skills.
