By Pamela Collett with Godfrey Chogo | Communications, Kibera Film School trainee
At Hot Sun Foundation, slum youth learn filmmaking through making films in their communities.
The Kibera Film School trainees' third project during the five months training is a promotional video for a local community organization.
Here's more about making the promo video, as told by Godfrey Chogo, one of the trainees.
----------------------------------------
Our last project is a promotional video about a theater acting group, Liquid Entertainment Arts in Mathare, a slum in Nairobi, where I grew up and live.
What did you learn?
Team work always pays off well.
We need to lower our egos while on set.
What were the obstacles during the project?
We arrived late but surprisingly the client was patient enough and waited for us.
We had to change our plans, based on what the clients wanted.
Despite some challenges, we managed to get the work done to the clients' satisfaction.
