By Michael Mwangi | Kibera Film School trainee
My name is Michael Mwangi. I am 18 years old.
My very first short film TRUE FRIENDS for the My World video project was a challenge since it required teamwork.
It has made me in a position to acknowledge others and learn how to work with others in a team.I have learned how to lower my ego when dealing with different people.
While shooting my short film TRUE FRIENDS I realized how important preparation and communication is for the crew and for the cast for better production.
In my life I will never ever judge a person just because of his/her appearances because I learnt that what matters is what they can offer.
Film production made me realize that no one can make it alone if not with the help of the people around him. I could not have done the production of the short film alone without the help of my fellow trainees at Kibera Film School
I will always be grateful to HOT SUN FOUNDATION for giving me the opportunity to gain experience and express my story in such a unique way using film.
I never thought I could know how even to hold a camera but I had that interest ever since I was a kid. Thanks again to Hot Sun Foundation, I and my other trainees did the best and we managed
