What does it take to write a compelling script and make a short film?
A group of young East African filmmakers in Nairobi had the opportunity to write scripts and produce a short film thanks to Hot Sun Foundation, who sponsored the Script Power Seminar.
With the support of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, California, Hot Sun Foundation was able to bring an experienced scriptwriter, Dwayne Johnson-Cochran, to Nairobi for one month to work with a group of young highly motivated East African scriptwriters.
The young scriptwriters were enthusiastic about the month-long seminar.
My experience in making a short film is that it is energy consuming, mind gruelling but also a lot of fun, especially if there is good chemistry with the people that you are working with.
Thank you Hot Sun Foundation for a fantastic and informative month. My script writing has definitely changed for the better.
Thanks to all of you who support Hot Sun Foundation at Global Giving!
