Your partnership is making a difference

By Lori Pyle | Executive Director

Thanks to your generosity during GlobalGiving’s Little x Little campaign, our One Village program received $3,755 in support. This funding is already at work strengthening families and keeping children where they belong which is to be safe, loved, and connected to their communities. Today, 17 children are enrolled in One Village, receiving school fees, uniforms, supplies, transportation, and a monthly rice stipend that helps stabilize their households.

One of these children is Aminata, a bright 8yearold who once faced the real possibility of leaving school because her family could not afford the required fees. Through One Village, she now attends school consistently, has the materials she needs to learn, and returns home each day to a family that feels supported rather than overwhelmed. Amanita recently wrote a letter to her ongoing sponsors to share that she is doing well in school and appreciates the support to allow her to continue her education.  She shared about the opportunity to return to The Raining Season for a party and was reminded that although she lives with her family, she will always have love and support through her sponsors and brothers/sisters at The Raining Season.

Since our last update, our team in Sierra Leone has continued conducting home visits, delivering monthly food support, and working closely with caregivers to ensure each child is thriving academically and emotionally. While we celebrate the progress of the 17 children currently enrolled, we are deeply aware that many more children in the surrounding communities are waiting for the same opportunity to stay with their families and remain in school.

Your support is helping us build a future where families stay together and children grow up with stability, dignity, and hope. Thank you for standing with these children and their caregivers.  Your partnership is making a lasting difference.
