Dear Donor,

During this reporting period, we organized awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene for parents of upper-primary girl and teachers. Through these efforts, we reached 98 parents of girls in  upperprimary across two schools in Alero and Paminyai Sucounty, Nwoya district, equipping them with knowledge and resources to manage their children's menstrual health and continue to support their education with confidence. We were happy to have more male parents(62) than female (36).

"One parent, who initially did not prioritize his daughters’ education, has now committed to supporting their menstrual hygiene and attending monthly school meetings.”

The need remains urgent. Many girls are still at risk of dropping out due to poverty, lack of scholastic materials, limited access to menstrual hygiene supplies, and social challenges such as early marriage. Without intervention, these barriers threaten their education and future opportunities.

Despite a funding gap, Dyere Tek Organisation (DTO) has remained committed to this cause. We continue engaging school leaders, parents, and community members to reinforce the importance of girls’ education, while actively strengthening partnerships and exploring new fundraising opportunities to mobilize the resources needed for this project.

In the coming months, we aim to intensify outreach efforts, enhance our fundraising strategies, and share more inspiring stories from the community, highlighting the transformative impact of keeping girls in school.

Your kind contribution and every share brings us closer to ensuring that a girl in Nwoya can stay in school and achieve her dreams.

Thank you for standing with us and believing in the power of education.
