Greetings from Shamas Rugby Foundation, we are grateful for your unending support. During this period, we have continued with our regular programs; Rugby, life skills and counseling.
Through our rugby program we are engaging more girls in primary and secondary schools. Our beneficiaries have taken part in rugby tournaments, both invitationals and inhouse tournaments. These interactions with children from diverse backgrounds gives them a diverse experience of life beyond what they are used to.
The support we have received from here has facilitated our senior ladies team take part in the just concluded Kenya Cup rugby season. Through our Partnership with Northern Suburbs Ladies team, Shamas has been able to facilitate 15 ladies attend training and take part in the league games.
This has been possible through you support, for this reason we are very grateful and we invite you to continue supporting us change lives through rugby.

Through our rugby program we have engaged more girls every week in primary and secondary schools. Our beneficiaries have taken part in rugby tournaments, both invitationals and inhouse matches. These interactions with children from diverse backgrounds gives them a diverse experience of life beyond what they are used to.
We have also provided our teenage girls with sanitary towels and proper training kits to increase their confort so as to retain them in our programs. We have hosted mentoship session for teenagers, where some of the girls in our programs have shared their stories to inspire their peers .
Through such engagements, we continue to provide to children, especially young girls, with an opportunity to express themselves, a safe space to discover themselves and skills that will help them make better and informed decisions about their lives.

No major update to be reported at the moment. The Project has continued with its regular activities and the engagement of girls in rugby is going on as planned. During the next 7 weeks, more girls are expected to join as school are currently closed for holidays. Training sessions, tournaments, and friendly games with teams from other clinics and also with teams from other organizations in Kenya. The training sessions will be focused on basic skills, game awareness, understanding of the laws of the game etc. The girls will focus on 15-aside rugby until the end of April to then shift to 7-aside rugby for the May-September period.
