The Shalom Center provides a safe haven for individuals over the age of 65 who are victims of abuse, including a full range of health care and supportive services and a coordinated system of care.
Many individuals do not realize that they are being abused by a love one until it is too late. Financial account information may be compromised and the victim no longer has access to his or her money and this makes it harder to leave an abusive situation.
Funds raised for the Shalom Center are used to offset costs incurred for medical care, social services, nursing care, therapy, and other necessary items. Often, elder abuse victims arrive at Cedar Village with only the clothes they are wearing. Your donation will help provide those in need with items they need to begin their life again.
