By Stew Bromberg | Executive Director, Cedar Village Foundation
Cedar Village is the home of the Shalom Center for Elder Abuse Prevention. The Shalom Center provides a safe haven for individuals over the age of 65 who are victims of abuse, including a full range of health care and supportive services and a coordinated system of care.
While victims are living at Cedar Village in a safe environment, they enjoy the many programs and activities that enrich the lives of all of the residents. They participate in art, music, and exercise classes. They enjoy having lunch in the deli with their new friends, and they especially like attending stimulating educational programs.
And each victim receives a holiday gift that he or she has requested from the Resident Life staff. Please consider making a donation to the Shalom Center to provide a holiday gift for a Shalom Center resident.
