Recently, a new victim came to the Shalom Center for Elder Abuse Prevention at Cedar Village. As with all the other victims, he came with only the clothes on his back. Staff members assessed his needs and shopped for clothing and personal items for him so that he could be integrated into the Cedar Village family with dignity and respect. The recent death of Mickey Rooney, a victim of elder abuse by his family, has brought new attention to the issue of Elder Abuse. National Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 15th and Cedar Village will be participating in this important day to bring awareness to this national crisis. You gift will help purchase clothes and personal items for our victims of elder abuse.
