Imagine being a child, eager to learn, but held back-not because of a lack of ability, but because of HIV/AIDS and the loss of critical support. With the end of USAID funding, many HIV+ children no longer have access to free HIV medication. This means frequent illness, missed classes, and an uncertain future. At MaSe Foundation, we have been paying school fees to ensure these children stay in class. But without lifesaving medication, their education is slipping away.
The recent decision to end USAID support has left many children in Uganda without access to free HIV/AIDS medication, putting their education and future at risk. At Stichting MaSe, we have been covering school fees for HIV+ children, ensuring they stay in school. However, without access to lifesaving medication, many are falling sick, missing classes, and losing hope. We are launching a school program at Busanga Primary School to provide support for HIV+ children, helping them access treatment.
At MaSe Foundation, we are stepping in to ensure that HIV+ children can stay in school and thrive through; Providing essential HIV medication - so children stay healthy and don't miss school Offering psychological support - helping children cope with stigma and build confidence Ensuring proper care and follow-up - so that childrencan feel safe, supported, and hopeful
Provide essential HIV/AIDS treatment so children stay healthy Ensure HIV+ children don't have to drop out of school Give HIV+ children the confidence and hope for a better future
