Simba Recovering After Life-Saving Surgery
Simba Recovering After Life-Saving Surgery

Keeping Pets with the People who Love Them

When Simba’s family learned their beloved 8-year-old golden doodle needed surgery, they were facing a frightening situation. Simba had developed a urinary obstruction caused by bladder stones, and while emergency care was able to provide immediate relief, the surgery he needed to remove the stones was more than his family could afford.

Determined to find a way to help their dog, Simba’s family reached out to Second Chance. Because of the support of our community, we were able to provide the surgery he needed at an affordable cost and get him on the road to recovery.

His grateful family traveled more than an hour to bring him to Second Chance. Today, Simba is recovering well, and we hope he will be back to his happy, healthy self very soon.

Stories like Simba’s are made possible because of compassionate supporters who believe every pet deserves access to care. Your generosity helps ensure that when families are faced with difficult choices, they have somewhere to turn.
