Late winter and the whole spring, it is time of vivid preparations for the next season – mainly for grounding, training and motivating of our volunteers to take a responsibility in the organisation of project Katarínka, time of many important decisions and discussions.
The most dedicated core of Katarínka is represented by 5 members as executive authority, who lead the whole project, rise money and take many decisions. They meet monthly, but in January, they met for half of a weekend and whole day discussed key events and stuffs for the next season.
However, this core is not alone – they have many helpers - the group of the most enthusiastic and devoted volunteers called „nucleus“ meets every month to discuss what is going on in Katarínka, to distribute tasks for next months, to give updates about their teams or to discuss and decide any necessary issues. Moreover, nucleus has every year at least one teambuilding weekend, where members get to know each other a bit more, relax, enjoy a trip to a place connected to Katarínka´s history. This year we met in January, we dropped in Smolenice where the sculptures from our tower guard the tomb of Palffyi´s family, patrons of Katarínka. Next, we visited a new museum in Chtelnica castle, where it was decided about the beginning of monastery of Katarínka in 1618 and it has newly been renovated. Besides that, we talked about many essential topics in our organisation, for instance how to manage access to our reconstructed tower which will serve as a nice view point in region of Trnava. It is our biggest challenge to well manage this so finger crossed for us!
