Archaeological reasearch helps us to clarify and understand life in this area in the 17th century. Help us with our work with youth - we promote enagagement and active stance to the preservation of our cultural and historical heritage and protect nature. We do not seek to reconstruct the church and monastery of St. Catharine, but to preserve it in a safe condition to future generations. Help us cover the costs for engaging 6 x 12 people (6 camps for 12 volunteers) in saving Katarinka.
Slowly deteriorating cultural heritage is a contrasting counterpart of active consumers life of young people. There are hundreds of old monasteries, castles and churches in Slovakia. And thousands of people who could exploit their time in more meaningful way.
We want to create a space for simplicity, without stress and without technology, offers the opportunity to experience history firsthand. This raises friendships for life and young people are growing in strong values such as service, cooperation and selflessness.
We are hoping to preserve the 17th centure monastery for future generations and to create great experiences and memories for our volunteers who will continue with their effort to make this world a better and more consiouss place.
