The summer of 2011 exceeded our expectations on many levels. As previously reported, we were able to bring
girls from all over the country to enjoy a week long Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy ("JFSLA") experience. Our outreach was far beyond what we would have imagined it to be, with US military daughters joining us from Kentucky, Utah, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Colorado, California, New York and Alabama.
It is with your gracious support that the Foundation has touched these young lives in so many ways. With the unique leadership skills training at the JFSLA, these girls are returning home with a new sense of self and invigorated spirit about them. We are currently receiving project reports from former students, as they are enthusiastic to share how their perspective on serving others has changed since attending the JFSLA.
The Foundation's US Military Daughter Program is pressing forward now, as we "go big" in our efforts to change our country by empowering young girls. While we were fortunate to fund sixteen full scholarships to the Academy in 2011, we are hoping to double this total in 2012!
We continue to feel very fortunate to have such a devoted team of supporters who believe in our mission. We would
like to extend our sincerest gratitude and pay tribute to you. We hope that you will consider supporting the
Foundation’s Military Daughter Scholarship Program once again, as we prepare for next summer. You can find more information at the Foundation website, which is: www.foudyleadershipfoundation.org.
