We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news that has filled our team with renewed energy: Eposak has officially secured funding for this project by winning the "Making a Difference" grant from the John and Marine van Vlissingen Foundation! This prestigious support provides us with the vital momentum needed to turn our vision into reality. With this foundation laid, we are ready to bring the majesty of Venezuela’s indigenous heartland to those who have never had the chance to see it.
Many underprivileged children feel disconnected from the natural wonders of their own country. Our new project uses Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to bridge that gap, creating a digital bridge from the concrete jungle to the ancient Tepuis of Canaima National Park.
By the end of this pilot phase, we expect to reach our goals across urban schools. Our goal is to shift the narrative from "resource extraction" to "resource protection." We want these children to dream of becoming the next generation of biologists, sustainable tour operators, and environmental advocates.
With the "Making a Difference" grant, we aren't just buying headsets; we are investing in empathy. When a child "stands" at the top of Kerepakupai Merú (Angel Falls) through a VR lens, they fall in love with their country all over again. That love is the strongest tool we have for conservation.
With gratitude and hope,
Eposak team
