Dear friends,
On 23rd March, Cimientos was invited to attend to 2 events organized by the U.S.A Embassy, due to Barack and Michelle Obama´s visit to Argentina.
In the morning, we went with 5 girls of 16 years old to meet Michelle Obama. She gave out an inspirational speech in front of women students and teachers from 16 schools of Buenos Aires. She wanted all the attendees to convert themselves in agents of change, and to follow the example of all those brave women who lived in our country. Our girls spent an unforgettable moment next to Michelle.
In the afternoon we went with 7 youth between 18 and 23 years old to meet Barack Obama, who gave another great speech and spent a whole hour answering questions of hundreds of youth who attended this meeting.
Everyone was really glad to have been invited to these events, it was their first time near a politician so it was incredible for them to meet such important people.
Thanks for making it possible for low income Argentine youth get opportunities as this one and to get their first jobs and foster their education!
Best regards,
María
