During 2022 we decided to work with a continuous improvement approach, by reviewing our strategies and indicators we are able to reinforce the work of socio-emotional skills and generate greater spaces to include the voice of the participants; and increase synergy with the Cimientos University Scholarship Program to boost post-school work.
Our main focus is on providing training for employment and labor insertion. It is in alliance with different technical partners that we carried out three training courses.
Our goal is to implement three courses for the second semester that will be gratefully carried out on site.
We continue working on expanding the network of companies that can employ Cimientos graduates to increase the number of people in their early twenties to have access to formal employment. Today we have fifty-four young people who found a job through Cimientos labor intervention.
Last May, we held a webinar with the aim of providing tools to handle tolerance to frustration in exams situations for students to acquire new study techniques. Approximately sixty higher-education students who have a scholarship with us took part in this activity.
We carried out the third online edition of the National Youth Meeting where we worked on building the participants’ life project, knocking down myths about vocation, as well as the choice of careers with workshops and panels given by professionals. The possibility of sharing and exchanging experiences is a unique opportunity for young people to remove their doubts and be inspired. More than a hundred participants from our Programs in Argentina and Uruguay and also from allied schools and organizations joined us in Zoom and YouTube. These were some of the comments that the participants sent us:
"The fact that they gave us information and ideas about how we would see ourselves when we made the decision to pursue a career"
"What I liked most about the meeting was the presentation on finance, which is something that I feel necessary, and I also liked the idea that it is never too late to choose, change or leave a career and move on. Everyone has their own process.”
“The experiences that speakers went through helped me understand that I should not worry about not knowing what to study, or about leaving a course of studies and wanting to start something new, because everything contributes to my future.”
If you want to support our work so that more and more young people like Agustina and Sol have access to employment and training opportunities that allow them to get out of poverty, consider making a donation. You can also be of great help if you spread the word and share our link with family and friends.
Greetings and thanks for your support,
