Dear friends:
On this occasion we want to share that on July 23 and 26 we organized 2 youth meetings for a total of 167 young people from 14 locations.
The aim of these meetings was to promote reflection on the importance of continuing to study after finishing high school and providing tools and information to begin the process of choosing what to study.
In the morning, the youth participated in group workshops of vocational guidance held by 11 specialists. After lunch they participated in a fair attended by 22 universities, NGOs and government programs that offer scholarships for university studies and job training courses. Finally, they participated in talks with professionals from different careers to learn more about it´s curriculum and labor insertion field. We get 77 professionals from 22 different companies to volunteer to share their experience with young people. It was extremely enriching, both for the young people and for the volunteers themselves and the students were very grateful to have been able to participate in such a large event and especially designed for them.
In October we will make similar meetings in Neuquén and Rosario for more than 100 youth that will graduate from high school in december. We hope to continue counting on your support to guide more youth in the definition of a life project that allows them to escape poverty.
Best regards,
María Hilaire
