We have had a wonderful start to our summer term here at World Heart Beat!
On the 1st April we had an truly fantastic performance from all our young jazz musicians learning at World Heart Beat. It was a great evening of music where the young musicians got to showcase their skills, playing great tunes such as Hot House by Charlie Parker & Dizzy Gillespie, and Watermelon Man by Herbie Hancock.
Thanks to the support of renowned jazz musicians such as Bryron Wallen, Trevor Watkis and Tony Kofi who mentor and teach our students on Mondays, our students can put together wonderful concerts like the recent one and always be inspired.
We have just cut this short clip to show you the amazing access to this wonderful music that we are able to teach these young people. It is all thanks to your donations that we have been able to continue this programme.

Congratulations to our musicians who have achieved their 'Jazz 5' this term; a programme of jazz study created by our patron, the maestro Julian Joseph OBE. We were honoured to have had Julian visit the young jazz students in our Thursday jazz roots programme. He tested the young cats and was really impressed!
We also have some exciting events coming up! We have been invited to do a Second Line New Orleans performance for the opening of Wandsworth Fringe Festival 2019. Our Second Line band is has growing its repetoire and everybody here in the academy enjoys being part of it.
Once again thank you for the amazing donations that continue to impact young people's lives.
