Project Overview
Only 10% of African Girls in Tech own a Laptop which greatly limits their careers and growth. To be a part of the solution to this major challenge, during the International Women's Day 2025, Afro-Tech Girls (ATG) set out to raise $5,000 to provide 5 laptops for promising female STEM graduates in Nigeria. in a bid to answer the global call to "Accelerate Action" for gender equality, we took immediate steps to equip young African women with the digital tools essential for their STEM careers.
Impact Story
Through this project we were able to support Four out of the Five we set out to support. This is indeed a huge one for us. These ladies are more confident in the path they have choosen than they were before. Through this support they are able to pursue their goals with more focus and effectively as well.
Our short fall
Through the generousity of our donors, we raised $366 out of our $5000 target. Sadly we are able to support only four out of five ladies with laptops. We desire to provide support to the 5th reciepient and others to enable them begin thier journey as well. We cannot do this alone.
Thank you!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our donors and partners for their continued support in making this project a success. Your contributions are changing lives and helping to shape the future of STEM in Nigeria.
