Torrential rainfall has caused a deadly landslide on the Italian island of Ischia. 3 people have been killed, 11 are missing, and more than 200 had to be evacuated. The landslide has also destroyed dozens of homes, buildings, and roads. Your donation to the Italy Landslide Relief Fund will provide emergency support to impacted communities.
Italy has declared a state of emergency after a landslide on Ischia island claimed the lives of 3 people, and displaced dozens. Search and rescue operations are still ongoing. Your donation to this fund will provide emergency aid like food, water, medicine, and shelter in impacted communities. Once immediate needs are met, this fund will provide long-term assistance, with a focus on locally led responses.
All donations to this fund will support landslide relief and recovery efforts in Ischia. Initially, the fund will help first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. As needs emerge, we will support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in the impacted area.

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.
We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.
They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
