Legion Events NPO is established and dedicated to working with vulnerable children and young adults in disadvantaged communities in developing their up bring. We believe in the necessity of transformation from early childhood in order to prevent and decrease poverty. Therefore through our implemented services, we strive to make a difference daily. We work together with other organizations serving the purpose of humanity and kindness. Helping our children in ways we can.
As we are facing difficult times due to the Coronavirus pandemic it has become clear that there are uncertainties on how the schooling years will affect children from unprivileged communities. These children come from different income backgrounds. Some can't even afford to attend school or receive food on a daily basis due to financial challenges. The lack of education and poor nutrition can affect a child's development significantly.
According to UNICEF, 1 in 6 children lives in poverty and 13% receive early childhood education. This project will aid in creating a healthy and educational environment for our beneficiaries. It will help in decreasing poverty and lack of education by proving nutritious warm meals, food parcels, school uniforms, stationery, and basic essentials. We believe that a child who is well fed has a high rate of learning better. Education is important in eliminating poverty.
As education it's essential, it is then important to give children the power to empower themselves by learning to read and write. This will create a strong form of a proper foundation in eliminating poverty. The potential long-term impact of this project is to help these children not to live in poverty as adults.
