Israel Technion - Graduate Student's Fellowships

By shira karp | Donor Relations

The strength of Israel's economy is directly related to the Technion's ability to educate highly trained graduates and pursue cutting-edge research. Studying for a master's degree and/or doctorate requires complete dedication to one's studies for three to five years, making it extremely difficult to hold a job while pursuing the degree. Technion graduate students are vital to the continued growth of Israeli industry and to the advancement of science.

Studying for a master's degree and/or doctorate requires complete dedication to one's studies for three to five years, making it extremely difficult to hold a job while pursuing the degree. Almost every student at the Technion depends on some form of financial assistance in order to pursue his or her education. But graduate education today has never been harder to pay for, or easier to forego.

To help graduate students maximize their potential, the Technion must develop new and significant sources of funding, specifically fellowships that will ease their financial burdens. Fellowships will enable graduate students to pursue their studies to the fullest extent, unleashing their genius and creativity and bringing renown to the Technion through their technological discoveries.

The Program to Foster Academic Excellence, aimed at alleviating student financial constraints, will enable top graduate-level scholars to devote their energies exclusively to the pursuit of scientific excellence. Student research will inevitably lead to new discoveries, which will expand Technion's areas of expertise and help maintain Israel's position as a world-class leader in science and technology.
