Thanks to everyone for the support of the project Create Braille Books
for 1000 Blind Children!
Our children need very much your help and attention to our project.
During the reporting period we created 4 new Braille books and 2 tactile books for developing classes of preschool children.
In September and early October, we began to engage in the preparation of manuals in Braille for the study of mathematics. 30 children from Kharkiv special school for blind children and blind children 5 who attend inclusively got math guides with embossed patterns.
In October, an important event in our center became tiflografike seminar for specialists ,who design illustrations in books for blind children.
The seminar famous Polish tiflopedagog Marek Jakubowski shared with manufacturing standards relief benefits. At the seminar, 12 people from different cities of Ukraine received the necessary knowledge to work on the development and adaptation of the book for blind children.
On our resource center "World at Your Fingertips" know the parents, professionals and children. People turn to us for books and manuals from different cities of Ukraine.
For example, we have made for the Literary Museum Braille texts adapted for the exhibition "Feel the culture" - pieces of famous buildings in the world, which have been produced on a 3-D printer.
We have produced Braille menu for 3 restaurants Kharkov and catalog products online supermarket for the sale of coffee.
Now we have a lot of work to improve the quality of our books and manuals such as the observance of universal standards, durability, safety and attractive appearance for children with severe disabilities.
We are pleased to have received an invitation to our books at 7 International exhibition "Book Arsenal". The exhibition will be held in May 2017 in Kiev.
We receive many letters and warm words of gratitude to our resource center of our young readers and their parents.
