Project Report | Feb 12, 2018
Path to independence

By Valentina Butenko | Project leader

Dear friends!

Thank you for your interest in our project. For us it is not very simple. But we love him very much. This project is very necessary!

We consider the most important for the reporting period - this is the implementation of the project "Improving the chances of obtaining quality education for young people with visual impairment." This project helped to shape the ability of visually impaired high school students to adapt to the social demands of society, to independently build their behavior in various life situations. Thanks to this project we had many friends, volunteers.

We developed the concept of a resource center for blind students based on international experience.

In this project, we paid much attention to helping blind young people to have independence skills. First of all, this training is orientation in space, self-service. With the support of our Polish partners, we conducted 4 seminars and trainings in Kharkov and Kiev. Now we are preparing in February 2018 to conduct a 3-day training to develop the mobility of blind people using echolocation.

We began to pay more attention to the organization of interesting leisure for blind youth. We organize trips to the theater, to concerts, we will organize the screening of modern films with typhlo-comments.

We are preparing for the summer youth school "Path to independence". And we really hope for your support.
