Adaklu Kpetsu Primary School now has Starlink Internet
We are excited to share progress on digital education at Adaklu Kpetsu Primary School. Thanks to the dedication of Headmistress Madam Sally Hogba, the school’s computer lab is beginning to take shape. The computer room has been cleaned and prepared for student use, and the school currently has five laptop computers and one desktop computer available for instruction.
A major milestone has now been reached: Adaklu Kpetsu School is now connected to Starlink internet! For the first time, students and teachers will have access to online educational resources, digital learning tools, and new ways to connect with the world.
This connection helps bridge the digital divide that often limits educational opportunities in rural communities. It also opens the door for students to become global citizens as we begin building Sister School relationships between Ghana and the United States.
This is a new beginning filled with possibility for students, teachers, and community members. Thank you for helping bring technology, education, and hope to rural Ghana.
Summer Learning at the Good Life Centre, Adaklu Tsrefre
This summer, students at the Friends of Adaklu Good Life Centre are continuing to build valuable skills through new virtual learning opportunities. Seven students are enrolled in a Logic & Puzzles class, where they are strengthening critical thinking and problem solving skills. Another seven students are participating in Typing with Matty, improving their keyboarding skills and digital confidence.
We are also excited to launch a new Student Media Team. Students are learning how to take photos and videos, conduct interviews, and share stories from their communities. These young reporters will help document Friends of Adaklu programs and community activities while developing communication and leadership skills.
We invite you to follow the Friends of Adaklu Student Facebook page and check out our YouTube page. In the coming months, students will begin sharing their photos, interviews, videos, and other creative projects. Thank you for helping create opportunities for students to learn, explore, and develop skills that will benefit them for years to come.
