Project Report | Jun 14, 2019
A paradigm shift

By Mary Mutuku. | Project Leader

It is my pleasure to present our project progress report for the 2ndquarter (April- June 2019). The project; provide safe and clean water for 1500 children and women, is aimed at improving water supply to Mutulani community, in Makueni County, Kenya.

This quarter began on a very high and positive point after GlobalGiving Field Traveler visited our organization (PEN) and the project site providing both PEN and the Mutulani community with new insights on equipping Mutulani Borehole that has taken a long time. The government support promised has not come to fruition. We were advised to pursue posting a Micro Project on GlobalGiving platform, specifically to raise funds for equipping the borehole through provision of a pump and collection tanks. This has already been done and the Micro-project, Equip Mutulani Borehole for 2000 Children and women, anchored to this project to ensure that as we wind up the project, it achieves its ultimate goal.

PEN and both the Mutulani Schools and the community are planning to fundraise especially during the July campaign to attain our objective. We are also requesting all our donors to this project to extend their love to Mutulani through supporting this noble cause of transforming Mutulani through accessing sustainable water source.

The project information:

Project Name: Equip Mutulani Borehole for 2000 children & women Project ID: 40458

We continue to appreciate the continued support towards provision and sustaining water in Mutulani area.

Many thanks,
