Have you Heard about HIV diagnostics in young people?
Now we need to take actions to prevent new HIV infections in young people the infection rates has increasing in the last two years in Mexico, These statistics are striking because
According to data from CENSIDA (2024) and CONAPO, the rate of new HIV infections among young people aged 15 to 24 continues to rise steadily:
In 2024, more than 6,400 new diagnoses were reported in this age group.
Only 34% of teenagers have received complete and scientifically accurate information about sexuality in public schools.
37% of people living with HIV in Mexico were infected before the age of 25.
For that Reasons promote Comprensive Sexual Education for all young people is the correct way to dissmiss HIV transmission rates and achieve SDG facing 2030.
Institutional resistance in some schools continues to be an obstacle, although it is diminishing with sustained work with teachers and local authorities.
Thanks for your efforts.
