National YoungArts Week Impact Report

By Laura Monarque | Manager, Fundraising

We are thrilled to share a look back at the impact of 2026 National YoungArts Week!

  • Nearly 13,000 young artists applied to the 2025–26 national arts competition—a record-breaking year—with applicants representing all 50 states, D.C. and 37 countries.

  • 734 award winners were selected, including 171 Winners with Distinction, across the literary, performing and visual arts disciplines.

  • These artists (ages 15–18 or in grades 10–12) join a growing community of nearly 24,000 award winners and gain access to a lifetime of creative and professional resources.

  • 164 Winners with Distinction attended National YoungArts Week in Miami, FL January 4–11, 2026.

  • The week featued 7 days of intensive programming that included classes, coaching sessions, interdisciplinary workshops, performances, public readings and exhibitions, the publication of an Anthology & Catalogue and more.

  • 153 extraordinary professional artists led programming.

  • We welcomed 2,564 in-person attendees and 2,311 unique live stream viewers throughout the week.

Participating young artists in 2026 called the program “a turning point”; “inspiring, eye-opening, and transformational"; "a unique, life-changing experience”; “an amazing community that I will cherish forever”; and “a space that made me fall back in love with my craft".

Your support makes these transformational experiences possible. Thank you for being part of the YoungArts community and helping us uplift the next generation of artists!
