Empower a Middle School Girl

Greetings everyone,

As the school year came to a close in June, the 4GIRLS Organization had the honor and privilege of awarding two high school senior girls and two middle school girls well-deserved scholarships. The high school scholarship is for college tuition or college expenses and the scholarship awarded to the middle school girls is to be used for an academic enrichment, sports or arts based program.

This year, one middle schooler used her scholarship for an academic enrichment program and another chose a soccer camp. Previous middle school recipients of the 4GIRLS Scholarship have used their award winnings for guitar lessons, gymnastics lessons as well as a variety of academic enrichment programs. Recipients of our college scholarship have gone on to pursue their dreams at a variety of community colleges as well as California State Universities.

One former college scholarship recipient, Mariela Suarez, shared with us, "By awarding me the 4GIRLS Organization high school scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I promise you I will work hard and eventually one day give something back to others, to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me." 

Whether academic, artistic or athletic endeavors, the 4GIRLS Organization strives to inspire and empower girls, like Mariela, to pursue their dreams and passions. It is very rewarding to be able to help these girls and young women advance their goals and aspirations.

To that end, our team, along with numerous volunteers, have been hard at work preparing for two very important upcoming events. On September 16^th, the Long Beach Chapter will hold its 8^th Annual Fundraising Gala at the Los Alamitos Bay Yacht Club and on October 14^th and 15^th, the Orange County chapter will hold their 2nd, Annual Workshop in Anaheim.

As our organization continues to expand and the number of girls we reach continues to grow, we are more committed than ever to our mission. The 4GIRLS Organization, which has served over 500 middle school girls since its inception, aims to help girls to have confidence, to make good decisions and to be the best version of themselves possible.

We cannot accomplish our goals – including continuing to award scholarships -  without the generous support of individuals such as yourself. Thank you for being on this journey with us.
