Bhumi’s Skill-Ed program continues to drive positive change by empowering youth from underserved communities through focused skill development and employment opportunities. From April to June 2024, the program has made significant strides, enhancing participants’ employability and bridging the skill gap prevalent in today’s job market.
During this quarter, 2,700 students successfully completed various courses, equipping them with vital digital, technical, and soft skills tailored to industry needs. This achievement reflects the program’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible training to youth between the ages of 18 and 27, enabling them to thrive in competitive environments.
In addition to training, Skill-Ed’s job placement initiatives saw great success, with 1,051 students securing employment in reputed companies. Thirteen campus recruitment drives were organized across partner institutions, resulting in 129 job offers being extended to skilled graduates.
These results underscore the program’s effectiveness in creating direct pathways to employment for youth who lack traditional access to opportunities. Bhumi’s holistic approach, fostering partnerships between educational institutions, corporates, and the community, continues to strengthen the program’s impact.
By bridging the gap between skill development and employment, Skill-Ed contributes not only to the economic upliftment of individuals but also to the broader goal of reducing unemployment and socio-economic disparity. This quarter’s results highlight Skill-Ed’s transformative role in creating a sustainable future for India’s youth.
