Ending this Project, Starting Next One Soon

By Ellen Nugroho | Project Leader

Parakan, the destination of our Trail this year.
Parakan, the destination of our Trail this year.

Dear generous donors and kindhearted friends,

By your abundant help and support, we have successfully accomplished our project Lasem Pluralism Trail in October 2017. We gave scholarships to 10 brilliant young people with diverse background out of 147 applicants. They thoroughly enjoyed the program and have spread what they gained from it to their networks.

Up to now, we still keep closely in touch with them. Some of them are using the knowledge and reflection gained from our Trail to create their own multiculturalism projects. Jenni from Tangerang posted a picture in her instagram account showing her leading a young writers' workshop themed multiculturalism. She said at the end of that post: "Thanks to Lasem Pluralism Trail, I have so many ideas to share about multiculturalism". This kind of impact is exactly what we hope for!

We are going forward to prepare our next project, which is Pluralism Trail 2018 in Parakan. Surveys have been done and itineraries are being listed. We aim for a larger number of participants, hoping to give scholarships to 30 young people around Indonesia. We still need your support and if you kindly are there for us, please contact me at ellen@ein-institute.org for further details.

Thank you for everything. See you at our next project!
