Many people in Rwanda suffer from different problems. Health, issues like AIDS/ HIV, paying for a doctor, insurance and mental problems, the lack of education and means to pay for school fees, books and supplies, food security and access to clean water, outdated family structures that normalize violence and abuse, to social discrimination, are just a few of the challenges they face.
By paying medical bills, school fees, house construction or food, we aim to not only supply the beneficiaries with the most basic needs, but also bring joy and hope. Solving specific problems can enhance the overall living conditions of the individual: Giving a child education, knowledge and a degree will bring him a good job, which results in a regular income and a great improvement of its life, giving a discriminated disease patient medical treatment allows him to be part of society again.
Finding solutions for individuals means finding solutions for the entire community. By decreasing health-related issues, increasing literacy rate and making sure everyone has enough food and water, we aim to relieve the communities, which will result in more time, energy and money to develop, rather than maintain the current living standards. By creating a system that directly connects donors with beneficiaries, we create a more human way of helping and gives these people a voice and a face.
