Our Pollinator from Alto Solimões shared the latest developments from the Omágua Kambeba Association, which continues to advance its environmental regeneration initiatives. They have already started implementing native bee capture traps, a technique learned in meliponiculture classes. Soon, they will also launch an Agroforestry project, strengthening biodiversity and sustainability in the region. We move forward together on this journey of regeneration!
In a scenary of lush biodiversity, the work envolved multiple activities, from environmental education, the start of meliponaries in indigenous territories, support to the local biodiversity and campaigns to support the wild native bees. To share the highlights of their activities in their territory, this group, made of indigenous peoples and local communities from diverse groups, as Kambeba Omágua, Kokama, etc., shared multiple updates from beekeeping in Alto Solimões via videos.
