By Prabhat Sinha | Mann Deshi's health diagnostic center
From October 2021 to December 2021 Total of 76 Covid Patients got admitted to our Mann Deshi run Gondawale covid hospital. Seventy-six patients were successfully discharged. The death rate is zero. Over 500 patients were served meals and breakfast from October to December. There was a proper day schedule of the people to take care of. These patients are under the observation of 4 Doctors and 10 Nurses in 3 shifts a day. In the last three months, we have provided over 700 meals to covid patients of Man tehsil.
Since there is no CT scan center in the Man tehsil around 70km, Man tehsil has over 300,000. As a result, various funders, including the crowdfunding platform GlobalGiving Mann Deshi Foundation, have set up a diagnostic facility with CT scan, pathology lab, and x-ray machine. The diagnostic center will be served for underprivileged communities as a charitable model, where patients will be served under the MD doctor appointed by Mann Deshi; patients can avail the service of blood check k-up, pathology lab, CT scan, and doctor’s consultation.
This is one of its kind center and unique in the state of Maharashtra, wherein the remotest place like Mhaswad, Mann Deshi, has built innovative and state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities. This facility will be functional from Jan 2022. This facility will help thousands of patients to reduce their healthcare costs.
Along with that, through the crowdfunding funds from GlobalGiving, Mann Deshi has been treating patients from Gondawale hospital; Gondawale hospital is a public-private partnership model hospital where the government and Mann Deshi are running the free cost covid hospital which provides patients all the necessary treatments such as covid treatment with the availability of ventilator, x-ray, pathology lab, and food. The cost of the doctor's salary and food has been supported by the crowdfunding platforms, such as GlobalGiving.
Mann Deshi also runs two cardiac ambulances for the community; these were used intensively for covid patients. Over 200 covid patients have been transferred via Mann Deshi's ambulances. In addition, through some crowdfunding support, Mann Deshi organized vaccines (covid) and vaccination camps for 24000 rural women of Maharashtra...
Laxmi says the vaccination camp organized by the Mann Deshi foundation really helped hundreds of women from her village. Although the vaccines were short, especially in rural India, that's where Mann Deshi stepped up at the most crucial time.
