Our endeavour to provide for the education and supporting training for the children of sex workers has taken off. You would be glad to know that three children in Bangalore, India were chosen for scholarships worth INR 30,500 to continue formal education. This scholarship was offered by Parinaam Foundation- a not-for profit organization working with urban and semi-urban economically underprivileged women. This scholarship will enable the women and the children to continue schooling. This also has boosted the confidence and allayed the burden of poverty on the children and their families- assuring that the children stay in school. Parninaam has thus touched lives by their generous contribution and effected the "attitudes and aspirations" of the children.
