“Thanks to the organization my children have a bright future.”
Priya*(32) is filled with pride and can finally sleep soundly at night. The reason? Her children Bunty* and Soni* (4 and 7) have been recently enrolled to an English medium convent boarding school in Wanowrie. “ My daughter is very smart. She speaks fluent English, including to the foreign pastors who come to her school. Both my children have changed, they have learnt values such as respect of others, they address me with aap instead of tu ” she says beaming with pride. “An education is a gift for life”, she adds.
We at Swasti thank you for being part of our journey and giving children like Bunty and Soni, gifts for life. Together, we were able to help Priya enroll her children to school.
All schools ask for a parent’s identity papers, and being a sex worker she did not have easy access to hers. With the help of our social protection program, Priya was able to avail and submit these documents.
That was not all, “ the organization staff even helped me fill out school forms online and came with me to speak with them for the admission. I am eternally grateful to this organization,” she smiles.
