The Inclusive Teacher Project
Greetings from The Teacher Foundation !
The Government schools in Karnataka will commence the new academic year during the last week of May. The Teacher Foundation got in touch with the Department Officials for the implementation of the proposed programme. We have received the permission from both - State Government and District Level Officials for implementing the programme in Yadgiri District of Karnatka State. We are expecting a formal permission letter from Govt. Department by end of May 2017. We have discussed the programme calendar with the officials and plan to commence the programme from June 2017. 100 teachers from 50 selected schools (2 teachers from each school) of Shahapur block of Yadgiri district-Karnataka State will participate in the programme.
The Teacher Foundation will commence the programme by organising an Orientation for the teachers. Post this, we will conduct the baseline observation of teachers by administering the “Classroom Observation Checklist” - a tool developed by The Teacher Foundation to understand the current practices of the selected school teachers. This will be followed by 5 days of trainings in two phases of 3 days and 2 days; interspersed with 2 rounds of School Based Support(Observation of individual teachers classroom followed with a Feedback session).
We will keep you posted of any further developments.
Thank you for your support!
