We would like to thank all our donors who have supported our Coaching For School Success (CFSS) project implemented in 16 Government Higher Primary Schools (GHPS) in Shiggaon Taluk of Haveri District, Karnataka State, India.
An update on the Implementation of the CFSS project at Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri has been provided below.
We have completed Phase 2 & Phase 3 trainings, and conducted demo sessions at all 16 GHPS schools of Shiggaon taluk, Haveri district, Karnataka.
Phase 2 training was conducted in 1st week of November 2019, and we trained teachers on three modules:
1. Understanding Learning (1 day)
2. Power of Questioning (1 day)
3. Collaborative Learning strategies - Group work techniques (1 day)
Phase 3 training was conducted in 2nd week of December 2019, and we trained teachers on two modules:
1. Active Learning strategies (1 day)
2. Designing Learning (1 day)
After Phase 2 training we visited each school and conducted demo sessions in each school on how to implement Collaborative learning strategies in the classroom.
During second week of January 2020, we will visit all 16 schools to support teachers on conducting demo sessions on Active learning strategies to the rest of the teachers from their schools.
