Thank you for supporting our project Inclusive Mental Health Services for Youth. Your generosity helps us provide lifesaving help to young people across Slovakia — and 2025 has already been full of important steps forward.
Here’s a quick look at a few highlights from our many activities, that were made possible also thanks to your support:
We launched a new website – making help even more accessible
In early 2024, we introduced our new and redesigned website, built to make psychological help easier to find and more approachable, especially for (but not only) young people in distress. In moments when every second matters, finding a safe place to talk can make all the difference.
We continue in adressing radicalization and frustration among youth
We have been witnessing warning signs of youth radicalization for years — and have long raised the alarm that this is a serious and growing threat. Some of these signs have already led to real tragedies. That’s why we remain committed to addressing this issue with urgency and care.
Among many of our activities in this area, we have finished another nationwide series of 3-day trainings for first line professionals, especially from schools, called Nevypocutý: Ako na radikalizáciu v škole (The Unheard: Tackling Youth Radicalization in the Classroom).
We also conducted a deep analysis of more than 800 anonymous messages from young people that we have received through our online project Vyfrustrovac — a unique insight into how frustration, rejection, and a lack of support can grow into anger or hatred. Based on these findings, we published practical recommendations for schools, parents, institutions and policymakers.
Our crisis line never stops
Every single day, young people reach out to us, feeling scared, lost, or alone. Our team continues to offer free, anonymous, and nonstop psychological help – whether it’s online (chat and e-mail), by phone, or face to face.
We are here for people in moments when everything feels dark — when they can’t see a way forward, and reaching out is the only thing left. Sadly, we still can’t respond to everyone. Right now, we’re only able to answer 1 in 10 calls for help. But we are doing everything we can to change that — growing our team and expanding our reach. Furthermore, we’ve restructured our team to make our support more effectivewithin our current means.
We saved two important safe spaces
This spring, we were able to reopen our crisis intervention center in Trnava and continue the work of Flek Club, both of which were at risk due to lack of funding. These spaces are often the only places where young people can really feel seen, heard, and safe, and we are immensely grateful for being able to continue being there for them.
We intervened in the field – even in unexpected places
As part of Slovakia’s crisis response system, we took part in psychological interventions after outbreaks of livestock disease, supporting farmers under quarantine. While this wasn’t a typical scenario for us, our mission remains the same: no one should face a crisis alone.
Our crisis intervention team regularly goes out into the field to support people directly where they are – after sudden losses, or traumatic events. We show up in the hardest moments, so no one has to go through them without support.
We’re growing again – and that gives us hope
After a difficult period, we’ve welcomed new colleagues to our team. With more people on board, we’re slowly starting to breathe more freely again – and more ready than ever to help those who reach out. This is also possible thanks to all of our donors and supporters. Thank you!
We turned 13!
For 13 years, IPcko has been here for people who feel like there's no way out. We still believe that even a small decision to ask for help can save a life.
Your support keeps that help available – anonymously, freely, and nonstop.
Thank you for standing with us. Because of you, #HelpExists.
With gratitude,
