During the project period, we worked closely with students, teachers, and parents to create a more inclusive, creative, and supportive learning environment.
What we accomplished:
Provided additional learning sessions for 100 students, helping strengthen academic skills and engagement.
Conducted professional development seminars for teachers on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and inclusive education.
Introduced creative and student-centered learning activities in classrooms to increase participation, self-expression, and collaboration.
Held discussions and interviews with parents to better understand family needs and strengthen school-family partnerships.
Engaged students in a co-creation process, inviting them to help design the concept and activities of the final festival.
Alaqan Festival:
The project culminated in the Alaqan Festival, a celebration of creativity, learning, and community engagement. Students, parents, and teachers participated in interactive activities that encouraged communication, collaboration, and reflection. The festival showcased students' ideas and achievements while creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue between generations.
Key lesson:
The project demonstrated that combining inclusive teaching practices, social-emotional learning, and active family engagement can strengthen school communities and create lasting positive outcome for children.
